VALUES AND DOCTRINE

Christian business council

Surround yourself with Christian leaders who understand you.

We want to see every Christian executive become a best-in-class leader and develop a closer relationship with Jesus. We strive to apply Biblical truth to business to build more accountable, growth-focused companies.

Council Values

Our core beliefs

Maximize Member Value

Our goal is to deliver an increasingly valuable experience to each member. We strive to equip, challenge, and inspire one another toward best-in-class business performance in support of the purpose we have been called to.

Spiritual Growth

We pursue an ever-increasing intimacy with Jesus Christ through spending concentrated time reading the Bible and communication with Him in prayer on a daily basis. (Philippians 3:12-14)

Integrity

We will speak the whole truth, and behave in the most Christ-like, God-honoring manner possible... being open, honest, ethical, and genuine in all repects.

Operational Excellence

We believe that “good enough” seldom is. Whatever we do, we will work at it with all our heart to produce the most excellent results possible because we’re working for the Lord. (Colossians 3:23).

Live By The Golden Rule

We must model and promote courageous, yet humble, servant-hearted Christ-like leadership in every interaction. (Luke 6:31)

Embrace A Joyful Spirit

Everything we have is from God, including the privilege of serving His Kingdom as stewards of His businesses. We will give more continual thanks, and serve the Lord with gladness.

Council Doctrine

Our Ideology

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and sinless life, His atoning death and bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return to Earth in power and glory. We believe the Bible is the infallible inspired word of God and that it is wholly true, and we believe God has an eternal plan for each believer’s life, and that plan includes their business.

Christian Business Council

The Founder

Bryan Hyzdu

Chairman and Chief Executive

Prior to his calling into marketplace ministry in 2011, Bryan spent 30 years as a business banker serving California’s Central Valley. He was the founding President of Service 1st Bank, and served in that capacity until the bank’s successful sale in 2008.

Serving as a banker to C.E.O.s, and functioning as one himself, Bryan developed a solid, first-hand understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with being a Christian C.E.O.

Bryan serves as President of His Majesty’s Secret Service, a 501 (c)(3) whose mission is to anonymously shine the light of Jesus Christ by caring for orphans, widows, and abandoned mothers facing severe circumstantial challenges. Bryan has also been a member of Vinewood Community Church in Lodi since 1979; serving as an elder, deacon, small group leader, and other roles.

Bryan and his wife, Debi, were married in 1979. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.

Beyond family, friends, church, and business … Bryan’s hobbies and interests include listening to a wide variety of non-fiction audiobooks, and religious-freedom oriented podcasts, supporting conservative values and pro-life causes, and looking for opportunities to make people laugh – whether with him or at him.

Favorite (Obscure) Bible Character: Benaiah ! He not only went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion, but took down a 7 ft. tall Egyptian warrior with the guy’s own spear ! (1 Chronicles 11:22-24)

Favorite Quote: “Truth is like a lion. It needs no defense. Set it free. It will defend itself.” (Augustine)
